On the 24th of July we made the trek down to Provo see Matt's Uncle Lester, whom we were told was dying. Kidneys were failing, liver, and having a hard time breathing, with congestive heart failure. We were just all in shock, but saw it coming. He had a really bad bought with Pneumonia a few years back and has just had one sickness after another. He was in the Price Hospital for several days, before the dr's decided to transport him to Provo to have the care he needed. Matt, myself, Anabelle, Chris, Kyo, Virginia, Melyni, and her two twin boys, piled into Anabelle's van and went down. It was hard seeing Lester that way, but we (especially I) got to meet some new people I haven't met before.
Ok here is a funny story. On the other side of the foyer was this chain hanging. Nobody dared to pull on it for fear of sudden death consequences. Matt was OBSESSED with it. Several people walked by and Matt would jump up to see if they pulled the chain. Finally he caught someone yanking the chain, and asked them what it did. It opened the doors to the ICU where his Uncle was. It was very comical.
