Dad waves HI to everyone!!! Says thanks for all of your prayers and support! I told him I was blogging this for him and was greatful that I was able to help keep friends and family up to date on how he is doing.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!! 65 YEARS!
He finally graduated to the ted stocking and some gauze covering the cut
He got out of bed himself and then ventured to the restroom himself too! YIPPEE!
I vetured to see the cut and all of the many staples in his knee region. Sorry if it's not so great. I took one look at it, positioned the camera and looked away. Every time I see it, it makes my bones rattle and I didn't think that was possible while still alive.
It seems I have my pics on here backwards so forgive my mistake. It's not easy blogging while children are awake and fighting and doing things they are not supposed to do, or even ALOUD to do! You know the saying, "the mice will play while the mom is away"? Well mine is "the mice will play, while the mom has her back turned, or on the computer".
We had a nice surprise visit from Jennifer, Star, and Scott. You can find out more about the Churchill Family here. I made the "Better Than Sex Cake" yet to figure out why it is named that. Jennifer and fam brought the nice smooth serbet ice cream. Sounds like an odd combination, but once one was gone and you ate the other it went well together.
Dad had visits from most of his kids. Josh and Julie and their clan visited. They bought dad a new card game which he can't wait to try out. You can learn more about the Scottland Family (Josh and Julie) here. Jessi and Jeff and family visited and Jess made the famous Neiman Marcus Cookies and got dad a nice shirt.
