Dad's Surgery Day 2 (more pics)

Day 2 was better than the first. When the girls and I got there Dad was sitting in a chair. They had him up and walking already. He walked down to the nurses station and back (about 100 yards, 200 round trip). Then he was able to go into the bathroom and wash his face and teeth. He was excited about that. They also rewrapped his knee to where you could see more of the staples and stuff. Just thinking about it gives me the willies! I have a weak stomach.

My girls decided to color for a while. Grandpa took a nap cause he was just way tired. As we were getting ready to leave Ash was brave enough and climbed up onto the bed and gave him a big huge hug! That was a big thing for her to do, since she was so leary of him in the first place.

The 2nd day was a bit more foodless for my father. He ended up with a big upset stomach and anything he ate didn't sit well with him. At least they let him wear his own clothes!!! No more embarrasing hospital "peek a boo" gown! LOL! Other than the food he was making great progress.
