Anniversary
Sunday the 10th of August was our 6 year anniversary. We celebrated all week long. It started off with me begging Matt for a Kitchen Aid. You see I will be making a 4 or 5 teir (haven't decided yet) wedding cake for a really great (BFF) friend of mines, wedding reception at the end of the month. Over the course of the last year of making cakes I have been making them all with a hand mixer. Just recently I started making my own buttercreme frosting and it was killing my hand mixer and my poor hands. I knew that our mixer wasn't going to make it through 5 double layers of cake, frosting, AND Marshmallow fondant. Matt kept telling me that we just didn't have the money for it, and off her went to the office. Later that day I am out in the yard (probably yelling at kids) and he shows up home earlier than expected. He has one of those alarm clocks that shows the time on the ceiling in his hands. He then asks me to grab the milk out of the back of the car. I proceed to get it and open the back of the Durango and I don't see any milk. I yell into the house to Matt that there wasn't any milk in the car and that he left them at the store and needed to go back and get them. There sitting in the back of the car was my Kitchen Aid. He went to 2 stores to make sure he got the one that I would need to the cake, and every day use. He made the right choice. He is not the type of man to just go out and buy a cheap knock off brand. If he is going to buy it he is going to get the real thing. He doesn't like buying things twice. Or building them twice. He likes to get the job done right the first time. Hence the story of my anniversary gift, the Kitchen Aid. Then the 6th happened and GTU. Later on that week we ended up at Costco. We meandered by the GPS Units. We got one for Matt and that was his anniversary gift from me. We both also got mico sd cards, 2 gig, for our phones. Not to mention we also ended up with new software for them and it's like we have brand new phones all over again! After that we ended up at the Weber county fair twice, and out to dinner. Sunday, the day of our anniversary we stopped off at a friends house and dropped off my card swap and saw Christie while we were there, and headed over to Mom and Dad's to visit. Haven't seen them in a while. We ate some frozen pizza's for dinner (which weren't bad) and watched the gymnists at the Olympics. It was a nice week and it was nice to have the weekend to ourselves. Not that it would have mattered. Anabelle and family were in Huntington earning some money! YIPPEE for them!!!!
