We put an offer in on a house!!!! WOO HOO!!!!! Pray that we get it please! We need all the help we can get now. It's a pretty big house. It would be able to accomodate our family, and then a friend of the family, who is also working with Matt. He will be there off and on as he is getting married in August. He will pay us rent for a few months. The house is gorgeous and beautiful all at the same time. It's located in actual Idaho Falls (not the Ammon area of Idaho Falls). It's in a new subdivision and most of the homes there are beautiful. Not as gorgeous and some of the subdivisions around here, but it will still do us some good. The Kitchen is awesome! I can't wait to put all of my stuff in it and actually cook a meal. The master bedroom is HUGE! Something I have never had in our almost 8 years of marriage. The master bath has a nice big shower, and jetted tub, and a master closet that I could scrapbook in! LOL! Heck I could set up shop in a corner of our master bedroom if I wanted. There is also an office or den that Matt will use as an office to book appointments and things like that. I guess I should mention some of the details of it. It's a 5 (would be 6 if one of the rooms was sheet rocked and carpeted) bedroom house, 3 bathrooms, 3 car garage, and over 4100 sq ft. Yes, it's a HUGE house. Which should give us plenty of room to move around and to help keep some privacy for our friend and his family when they come to visit. The bathrooms are equally as big as the master bedroom. Each bathroom has it's own door to the toilet, and to take a shower or bath. This way someone can be in the bathroom sink area without having to deal with someone in the shower or the toilet. Kinda cool I think? There are 3 beds up, 3 beds down. A huge!!!! I mean HUGE family room/rec area in the basement. If you thought our front room in our house now was long, wait until you see this one! It has recessed lighting, 3 places to plug in the tv, and plenty of room for 4 couches and pool table, and hockey table. It's crazy! The yard is smaller than the one we have now, but that's ok. The backyard is fenched and it's nice and private. There is a deck off the back that goes almost the whole length of the back yard and it has a garden area, and a rec area to put atv's and things like that. All in all I know this house sounds huge fir us, but for 2 families a good portion of the time, it should suit us just well. I don't think I'm going to know what to do with myself once we get there. We have looked at.... OH, let me think.... ... ... ... ... um..... ... .. ... ... ... ... ... ummmm.... 5 houses in the area that even fit our criteria of 5 beds 2 baths. We didn't have a lot to choose from. Most of them are only about 200 sq ft bigger than our house with what feels like cramed quarters if we were to just live there. Rooms were on the smaller side and the master beds were not very impressive. We have a backup I believe if need be. But if we are to choose a smaller house, our friend would not be lving with us. It would be insane if he did. I'm really excited and can't wait for this moving business to be over with. We have had one showing of the house already, and today there will be another. To me the house still looks cuttered with odds and ends that we use everyday. I'm just ready for it to be empty so everyone can see it without our stuff in it. It's definately priced to sell, so I don't see why it would be on the market for very long. Unfortunately we are selling it for less than what we owe on the house. It can only be sold for what the other houses in the area like mine are selling for and that is less than what we paid for it. So we are doing a short sale on the house. Kinda sucks! It sucks to sell right now. We could wait, but having 2 house payments isn't an option, and we're ok with getting this house over and done with. I'm not going to give any more details about the selling of the house as per this is what Matt and I have decided to do and we have it all under control. We have no worries! :)
We have had a very positive outlook on our changing lives these last 6 months. Some months it seemed like it would never end, and now here we are changing our lives for the better. It's nice to see everything fall into place.
This last weekend we took a trip up to Rexburg (BYU Idaho town). We almost made it there and we saw Yellowstones Bear World. If you have never heard of this then let me tell you about it! It is the coolest place! It's this park that you drive through and get to see wild life up close and personal. Elk, Deer, Bison, Turkey's, bears (black and grizzley), wolves, mountain goats. Many magnificent animals that you would normally see out in Yellowstone. They have just taken them from there and started this park. When I get the pictures off of my camera I'll make a collage and post some amazing pics from the experiance. They have a really great gift shop that I think I would go to and buy some amazing things to decorate my house with. Matt has even approved of this. LOL! They also have a petting Zoo. An area where you can just roam and wonder and pet all sorts of animals. Chickens, roosters, geese, pigs, deer, peacock, goats and even an area where you can feed the baby bears! OH MY! It was so much fun. While we were in the petting zoo we got to see the great big moose walk down the middle of the river all majestic like. It was really cool. One of the pigs they had just had babies and so there were 4 or 5 little babies meandering around. Plus there were also 4 or 5 small bear cubs to see too. One of them was out and playing with a stump when we first got there. The others were all in their den sleeping. After the petting zoo and the gift shop we decided to take another run through the park. This time we had a curator ride behind us. You can pay to go on a curator ride and feed the animals. This way you can get an up close and personal experience. You'll get to see a pic the vehicle you ride in, but the next time we go we are going on one of those tours. Totally worth it! In our 2nd time through the animals were a lot more active. So we got some major action shots. The bears were roaming all over the place. We had to stop for one bear who decided to cross paths with us. He was up scratching his back on a post. So we stopped to take a picture. Once we stopped he thought it was time to inspect. So he meanders up to the front of the car, passes by and then turns around and walks up to the front of the car and starts to lick the head light! It was so funny. At that time the curator ppl were behind us nudging us along and they stopped to feed the bears. So I got a really cool pic of 2 of the bears on hind legs waiting for some food. It was a neat experiance and we'll definately do it again. After the Park we headed up to Rexburg to finish off our escapade. We drove through town and stopped off at the Temple. Took some cool pics of it and back to the hotel we went.
There are many places we can go to visit once we live up there. Yellowstone National Park is only about an hour and half from us, the Tetons are about an hour away, Lava Hot Springs is an hour away, and Jackson Hole, is about an hour and half away. So we have many adventires ahead of us. I'm really excited! As you all know we are a very adventurous family and we like to go out on outings a lot. I guess that makes up for the BIG vacations we have never been able to afford. But I hope we will be planning at least 2 this year. One for the family, and one for mom and dad to get away from it all. Even though we are living in limbo right now, I am happy and at peace with the decisions we are making and what is going on in our lives right now. :) :) :)
I'll post pics later. Camera is still packed away.
