For the last 6 months we have been working on getting the house refinanced. It seems to have come to the time that we finally get it done.
Amongst the woes of cleaning house and yard we are alas... Potty Training Ashlyn. I mean the girl will go into the potty with you, hand you the toilet paper, and flush the toilet for you. Don't ya think it's time to potty train the kid that already knows her stuff?!?! LOL! She does absolutely great! She wakes up in the morns and mom changes her out of the diaper and into some big girl underwear and every half hour it's time to sit on the potty. She will even come tell me she needs to go before that time. She is much smarter than we give her credit for, and yet she gets away with murder around here. hmmm..... there is something wrong with this pic here.
Despite my efforts to get her to use her words when she wants something (or lets me use my words to explain something to her) she still raises her hands above her head and babbles at me like she swearing at me.
I often find her putting diapers on her babies, and wanting to use all of the wet wipes to change them with, and telling to be good! Hmmm, I think mom uses that word a lot.
When it comes time to clean the house I will turn the radio on and she will start singing "shake shake shake, shake your booty, shake your booty!" and shake her booty at you. She knows many of the songs that play and will sing along with them (with whatever words she thinks they are saying, LOL!).
She has a love for destroying things and to color all over my walls.
She will steal your heart by the way she says "Pll-eeaa-sse!" It's not short it's nice and drawn out and her face lights up when she says it. It gets her out of trouble a lot.
She has a love for being on the computer while mom is and to constantly being held by mom, much to my dismay. She often ends up finding herself sitting on the floor because she refuses to listen to mom when she says, "down please". That's when I get the arms in the air, the bottom lip curls and she starts babbling at me. I tell her knock it off and she just stands there and stares at me like, "How DARE you!" Then she's off to play with her dolls.
Nap time and bedtime are the hardest times for us. She sleeps on the top bunk next to a window and she will scream and fight you to go to sleep and continually play with the curtains.
She gives the best hugs in the world, and loves to give kisses. She loves her mommy so much that she will run into the room out of breath and say, "Mom!"
Mom: What?
Ash: Mommy!
Mom: What?
Ash: Mom!
Mom: What Ash?
Ash: Mommy!
Mom: What do you want Ash? as I turn and look at her and I see the tail of her running out the room.
She's a character all right!

I wish I could get Melody to be more interested in potty training, but I'm not sure I'm ready for the commitment myself. The getting up and going potty every half hour seems like it would be hard to do! Maybe I'm just lazy!
I got your blog off of Tasha's. How are you! You look amazing! I had to say hi! Hope to hear from you soon!
