S'more'n it up!

Tonight we invited Matt's boss and family over for some S'mores. It was so much fun! I had the fire going when they got here and as soon as we went to roast it went out. So Mike, Matt's boss, had a lot of fun getting it going again. It's funny how macho guys turn all funny when they are playin and goofin around. So we all had loads of fun catching our marshmallows on fire and sitting by the fire, and then running around the backyard tackling each other and throwin the football. I just have to say that i absolutely LOVE having an open yard that people just want to go and play on.

And here we all are around the camp fire, oh wait, the fire pit roasting some mellows. This was Ashlyn's 2nd time roasting and she kept catching them on fire and wouldn't eat them. So I put them on her stick and she would swoop it over the fire once, and take it off and eat it. Mike's son would take them off of the stick and eat them. It was his son's first time roasting mellows. We all had some megga fun after all of the stress we have all been going through.

PS. Family, we finally have the office and we are cleaning it up and getting it painted this weekend. Will post some before and after pictures later. Hopefully this means we can all start settling down and things can get back to normal. Also, we love it so much up here. But we do miss you all very much.

I do also want to say that I am human and I so totally had a few moments last week to where I wanted my "mommie". Then I remembered that I couldn't just call her and her come over and help me get my kitchen put together and get some decorating ideas from her. It hit me hard, but the Lord was there with me to get through it. I felt his comfort and knew I would be ok.
