Moving On

I'll start with Ashlyn... I tried to fix her hair. I think I did an ok job on it. I finally pulled the pics of the damage done to the backside of her hair off my camera. I will post those for you. I am also posting some photos of what I did to her hair to make her look decent now.

This pic I couldn't get to rotate before I downloaded it so I'm sorry, but you'll just have to turn your head sideways. LOL! Here is where she cut the under side of her hair. Thankfully her hair was pulled up when she cut it so that she at least has some hair to go over this.

Here is where most of the damage was done. She looks pretty bad when you take all of the hair elastics out.

Here is her "after". I pulled some long hairs forward to create some more bangs, careful not to make her look like she had half a head of bangs (which I can't stand on kids, or adults).

Here you can see on the side she cut that her hair is a little thin, but with it curled and stuff you can't really tell. I'm just glad that I didn't have to cut if off really short, although I am sure that she would look cute with her hair short. I'm just a sisssy to try it. I like my girls with long hair.

On another note, Saturday we went on another air plane ride. This time at the Bountiful air port. I wished my nephew a happy bday on our way down there since he lives in Bountiful and wished that I could have taken him with us on the plane ride. That would of been a sweet bday present for him. But the plan can only carry so much weight and with 3 of us we were at almost max capacity. Maybe next time to make up for it. Anyway so we went out with a friend of mine from high School. It was really cool because we went up for an hour instead of just a half hour and he gave us LOADS of information. He even did a zero gravity test. Now this is where he takes the yoke (the steering wheel) and pulls up on it to make us climb real fast and then pushes the yoke back in so we dive real fast. In the process of all of that we end up at 0 g forces (0 gravity). He had his sunglasses in his hand and they went flying back at me, and not to mention he had his pilots bag in the seat next to me that I had to grab and push back down to keep it from flying all over the plane. It was really cool. The first time (on wednesday) when this was done, my stomach lurched really bad. This time my stomach did much better and wanted to do it again. Then he went ahead and was telling Matt how to do some 360 turn stunts. Which Matt will have to learn how to do. They were really really cool. My friend, Corey, made me practically promise that I wouldn't throw up on him. He's had it happen to him before. The guy was sitting in the back seat and threw up all over and it went into the front of the plane and Corey had to clean it up. He obviously didn't want that to happen. The 360's were really cool. You can usually keep your stomach and your head if you keep your eyes focused outside of the windows. I love scenery so I was constantly looking out there. Here are some photos from thata trip.

Apparently the photos are backwards. Here is the New Moon Maze we saw from above. This was really cool. You can see all of the detail of it.

This is just a pic of me I took while we were flying. I was playing around and taking funny face poses of myself.

Here you can see Antelope Island

Here we are flying over Lagoon

And this is a pic of us taking off. I really liked the idea of our shadow as we were lifting off.
We flew from Bountiful up to the Ogden area. We spent some time doing some 360's and the 0 g force thing and that took up a good amount of time. Matt got some great instruction, and knows where he is heading and what he is going to be doing. Thanks to Corey who gave Matt all sorts of info on becoming a pilot. It's nice knowing someone in the industry to help us along. Especially personally and not from hear say.

That night after I got off work we decided to go over the North Ogden Divide. Fall is my fav time of year to over the Divide. The fall colors are usually so brilliantly colored and I as you all know I am sure, that I love to take pictures. So off we went as a family adventure. Most of the colors are gone, but I managed to get a few. We went all the way over the top, down into Liberty. We decided to go the long way around Liberty instead of cutting through it and into the heart of Eden. Then we headed around the East side of Pineview and stopped off at our old swim spot (no, not the one I killed my ankle on, I think I will stay away from that swing for a LONG time. I'm still having issues with my foot). We got there at a perfect time and I took some scenic shots of the water, and the mountains, and the dying sunset. I also got a few shots of the kids playin around. Then off we went and down into Huntsville and passed the Monestary (which Matt has never been to. *side note... Take Matt to the monestary the next time we are over there. Spring maybe?):). Then on into the canyon where we passed our ever favorite hot pots (where we have not been in a while since the huge rock that fell down the mountain and almost killed a few people... eak! 8\) and off to home we went.

Here is a panoramic view of the Ogden valley

Here is the beginning of the N. Ogden Divide and what you can see as you start you r decent up the mountain.

Just a view of the mountain side and some fall foliage

a portion of the valley and the mountain

more fall foliage

Here is a panoramic view of the Liberty/eden Valley.

This is a trail up at the top of N. Ogden Divide. One of the many that are up there.

I was trying to take a pic of us and Matt wouldn't stop making funny faces, so at the last min he grabbed my face and kissed me. SWEET!

Here are the kids and Matt picking up rocks and throwing them at the big metal tower. Matt looks like he was dancing.

Just one of the few fall pics I was able to get.

Sorry all of these pics are in reverse order, so that the caption for the top pic is on the very last pic of the 5th one down and on up. I'm sure that doesn't make sense, but if you know the Utah area, I am sure youc an figure out where what caption belongs where.

We meandered into an undeveloped subdivision and these trees and the land were backed upon this house. I just thought it was a cool pic.

We stopped off at our old swim spot and here are Matt and Ash (Ash wanted to hold his hand) on their way down to the waters edge.

I had to take some photos of the scenery here.

I can't miss out on the pics of all of them playing around. Sorry it's so blurry. It was windy and cold and I couldn't stop shovering.

I think these booeys are in about 10 ft from where they used to be, but we used to swim from the shore out to these booeys ever time we went swimming.

This one here is a view from the waters edge to the stairs. We used to swim all the way out here.

These tree trunks and a good amount of the branches were under water at one point in time.

This picture here is a view from the steps out to the waters edge. You the water used to measure up to the 3rd step from the bottom.

This is a different panoramic view, but here at the base of the photo you can see the stairs we are on, then on into the water and the mountains.
