Christmas was crazy for us. After finally getting our home loan approved, Matt and I decided that it was time to finish shopping for the girls and take some time off to relax. Well our idea of staying up until 5 in the morn wrapping presents wasn't my idea of fun or relaxing. I think Matt wrapped 1 present to my 8. I wrapped double the presents than he did, no to mention he got a quite a few cat naps in also. We watched "The Dark Knight" while wrapping. Christmas Eve after we finished picking up stocking stuffers at the local Walmart we went out Ogden Park where people have built little houses or shops and decorated them and put lights on them and put up in the park. If anyone wants to know where this park is it's over by the Marketstar building on Wahington Blvd and 24th st. Anyway that's where we went the Eve of Christmas. Needless to say we didn't home real early and the kids didn't get to bed real early either. Not to mention since all 3 of them are in the same room we get many visits each night with complaints about something or another.

These are the smaller gifts the girls got. We put these under their tree

This one is blurry, so sorry, the bigger gifts the girls received went under mom and dad's tree cause only dad had a big gift under this tree this year for the big people in the house.

These were in their stockings. Jayde helped to pick them out at the store. They both have been wanting a shirt for so long. You couldn't pass them up for the price they were selling them at. So Jayde had a small secret from Brytni this year that she very much used against her.

Ash received many fun things. She was the one we were stumped the most on for gifts. She's into everything and we couldn't find just the right thing for her to play with to keep her entertained more often. She also received a water doodle mat that she likes to draw on. It's a mat pad that she can draw on with a pen. All you have to do is put water in the pen and she write and draw all she wants. She's drawn us a house, snowmen, mom and dad, and many other things that she thinks she is drawing. One thing is for sure she knows what circles are.

Jayde got makeup in her stocking and Santa left her a case to put it all in. I have yet to see where this gift has disappeared to yet. I haven't seen it since this day.

Ash got a Cabbage Patch doll. One that you can't take it's close off of! lol! My girls are obsessed with taking dolls clothes off and then can never seem to find them once they are off. So we bought this one because it's clothes don't come off. Ash also received many clothes that she just had to model for us.

Brytni received this from her friends from Church. I really really like this gift and wish we had more gifts like this.

Jayde got many other gifts like Barbi's. That was all she wanted for Christmas.

She got ponies too cause she still plays with ones that she got many many years ago. I figured it was time to retire those ones and get new ones. Ash also got the box of ponies. This is so that her and Ash don't fight about ponies anymore.

Jayde got a barbi car. My mom found 2 of them at a garage sale for the kids to play with at her house, well they were mainly for Jayde cause she is the only one who plays with them, and I wanted her to have one here at home so she would quit bugging grandma to take one home with her.

Once most of the gifts were opened the girls gave Matt his gift. He thought it would be fun to just sit and hold it.

I have dedicated a lot of pics to this one cause for many reasons... One for one of my sisters to see this gift and for another that Matt has been wanting this gift for the 6 and half years we have been married. *Notice the paper... eh eh?!?!

He thought it very interesting that this gift came from Close to my Heart. He almost didn't open it and handed it to me.

Once he got it opened though he was very surprised. You would have thought the the wrapping paper would have been a dead give away

Pulling it out of the box

putting it on... notice Guitar Hero World Tour in a big box in the background... The very first thing the girls pointed out when they came and woke us up bright and early after getting to bed only 3 hours before hand...

Check out the smile on his FACE!!!

I made him model it for me so I could take some historical pics. Cause this will probably never happen again! lol

This was a gift totally meant for him.. Let me tell you the story...

I went to the Mall one afternoon. It was the say we went to our ward pajama Christmas party. The girls and I were wearing our jammies, and Matt had left to go to work. I was heading to walmart to pick up our Christmas cards and to meet up with mom and dad in Riverdale. After all of that I headed to the mall to have our ink cartridges filled. While there having them filled I decided to go Fanzz. They are the most expensive store for any NFL stuff but that was my one and only hope for the right gift for matt. So here we are traipsing around this more than already crowded store without people in it with 3 kids under toe. Here I am looking at jackets and still trying to make sure some stranger doesn't make off with any of my cute girls. Ashlyn wants me to hold her and Brytni and Jayde want to run around the store. So here I am looking around and I find a coat. I was like ok this is nice, but not what he wants. I pick it up anyway and keep looking. Along the way of yelling at my kids to stay with me and telling Ash to be quiet and to quit whining I find the rack with the letterman type jackets on them. I get to looking and they had like 3 teams on it and there were tons of them left. I was really bummed cause the letterman type jacket was what he wanted. I had finally decided I was going to get the jacket and get the heck out of that store when I walked past the letterman jackets again. I did a double take and picked up one shoved at the back of the rack. It was the Bronco's jacket. It was even his size too. I looked at the price tag and almost put it back. I looked at the tag of the other jacket and it was only $20 cheaper. I picked out the letterman's jacket and headed to the cash register. Along the way I run across the wrapping paper and then at the register I saw a Bronco's watch. I almost got that for him too. Needless to say I spent WAY to much but knew it would be worth the money. I rushed out of the store with my whining children and headed for the car. I was done! This was a well deserved gift from all of the girls in his life.

Brytni got a radio for her new room.
And mom's old MP3 player because dad bought mom an MP4 Touch. It's the knock off of the ipod touch. I like it very much and Brytni likes hers very much.
Grandma and Grandpa Scott's House
We were late to my parent's house for Chritmas Day lunch. We had to snow blow our way out of the driveway and it took a long time. Plus with the weather and the raods we had to drive slow.

Every year we do a gift exchange. I ended up with a pretty good gift this year. I really like them.
Christmas night we went to the University Hospital and visited Matt's mom. She was doing better and very coherent and talkative. She was very thankful for all of the family there. I know the nurses weren't, but we knew she was. We were there until really late and it took us an hour or so to get home thanks to the weather again.
