1st Day of School and other Misc Things

Today happens to be the first day of school for Jayde and Brytni. Jayde going into 1st grade, and B into 5th! Oh my! My girls are getting so BIG and so FAST!!!!!!! I will post School photos later. Right now I have been up since 4:20 not being able to sleep as school approaches, and our NY trip on Thursday. So much to do, and such little time now. I was so excited for it that it has now kind of snuck up on me. Today is going to be laundry day and my day to shop for some shorts that actually fit. Over the last month I have lost over 13 lbs and have officially gone down 2 sizes!!! SWEET!!! After we get back from NY I intend to lose at least that much again or more! Matt also lost some weight too. He lost 16 lbs doing the same thing I did. What a trooper! I wanted to lose more before we left, but I keep teetering between 13 and 15 pounds constantly. At least I know I am constant. That is all that counts.

Back to the whole first day of school thing... I have been up looking at hair blogs so I can make my girls hair really cute for the 1st day. I was thinking of actually doing BOTH of their hair this year to make sure they always look cute, but then that would make my 5th grader real unhappy cause she is supposed to be learning to curl her hair with her new flat iron she got for her bday. We'll see what happens. I'm sure if I end up doing her hair also then I will post some pics. Anyway so I was looking at blogs and I did a search on how to make my own hair bows. I think I am going to take the plunge and start making some this year. I always fill my plate to full. I know I know! I already have so much going on already, how can I possibly make it any fuller, right? I can hear you saying it now. But it's ok. I like these small little obsessions I have, even if my hubby doesn't! OH which by the way we have just celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary on the 10th!

Happy 7th Anniversary to Matt and myself. We have made it through 7 whole years of each other! LOL! I don't think I could love this man any more than I do right now, but the years cease to amaze me. We were still dieting on our anniversary, but we managed to still go out to dinner and enjoyed a great salad and went and watched "The Proposal" in which was hilarious and we both really liked! We also decided this year, for both of us working hard that we would take a trip and go see a great friend out in the NY/NJ area as a 7 year anniversary gift to ourselves. We leave this thursday and we have so many things planned. This will be the 1st time we have ventured to anywhere other then Vegas, LA, or Montana. So we are really very excited for this trip. And as you may wonder what are we going to do with the kids while we are gone, since they are going to be in school? Matt has a wonderful sister and brother inlaw who are going to take them for us and get them off to school. Having family close is a good thing.
Update on my ankle. I ended up out of work for 12 days with torn ligaments in my foot. The doc had me go back in for more xrays. After a 2nd opinion on my xrays and at the rate that I fell on it and how I managed to do it, (and after so many other rope swing mishaps in the last month and half) they thought I had a fracture. I guess fractures show up better 7-14 days after the accident. Xrays showed up nice and clean. No fracture... just torn ligaments and a very swollen and bruised foot. I finally went back to work on the 11th. The day after our anniversary. It felt good to be back at work. It was weird the 1st day back, but I'm back into the groove and swing of things. I had many ppl say that they were glad I was back and even a few comment on how great I looked after losing my 13 pounds. Sure does make one feel good about themselves.
I think that is it for right now. If I remember more then I will post more when I post the school pics today! (Hopefully I have time!) Hope this is a good enough update for all of you! Sorry it's been so long inbetween posts! I will try to do better.
